Responsibilities
Function as the program manager for the Brownfield Renewable Energy Pilot Program
Manage grant awards and collaborate with state agencies
Engage with communities, focusing on low-income and disadvantaged areas
Oversee project implementation and provide technical assistance
Ensure compliance with grant requirements
Conduct strategic planning and program evaluation to maximize greenhouse gas reductions and community benefits
Qualification
Required
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major
Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level
Equivalent combinations of nonprofessional experience, identified by the appointing authority and approved by Civil Service that are represented by subclass codes, will be accepted for classified, professional experience equivalent to the P11-level and above
Certain positions may be assigned subclass codes and individuals appointed must possess the required specialized experience
Preferred
Experience with renewable energy projects (e.g. community solar, recharging stations, battery storage, greenhouse gas emissions, etc.)
Experience working with and/or managing US Environmental Protection Agency grants
Experience working on brownfield redevelopment related projects
General working knowledge of the associated state and federal statutes, rules, regulations, standards, and other requirements such as Environmental Due diligence, Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs), Build America, Buy America Act, and Davis Bacon Act
Experience collaborating with multiple partners to accomplish a goal
Experience in performing outreach and customer service-related tasks
Experience attending and speaking at public meetings (i.e. City Council, Planning commission, Brownfield authority)
Experience giving technical presentations in a professional capacity
Experience managing projects, budgets, and contracts
Experience developing policies, procedures, guidance documents, and program materials, applications, and/or forms
