Structural Project Engineer
KL&A Engineers and Builders is a consulting firm focused on sustainable design and innovation. The Structural Project Engineer will collaborate with project managers on project coordination, oversee workflow, and maintain quality standards while mentoring junior staff.
Responsibilities
Review and maintain project schedules to ensure projects are completed on time
Perform complex analysis tasks and prepare comprehensive project documents
Apply material-specific codes proficiently across multiple jurisdictions and project types
Train and mentor junior staff to enhance technical skills and facilitate career growth
Review progress documents, ensuring conformance of calculations and adherence to quality standards
Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams on projects of moderate size or portions of major projects
Represent the organization through client interactions and any industry events attended
Engage with clients, contractors, and other industry associates
Demonstrates effective communication through written and verbal skills
Qualification
Required
ABET accredited degree in Structural or Architectural Engineering
Colorado Licensed PE, SE, or ability to pursue licensure within 6 months of hire
4-8 years of design experience across various building types
Experience on major projects of moderate scope with complex design features
Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship, both presently and in the future
Preferred
Proficiency in Revit Structures
Experience with RAM and/or RISA analysis models
