Responsibilities
Deploy and manage condition monitoring tools to assess equipment health including a variety of techniques including, but not limited to: Vibration Analysis, Infrared Thermography, Oil Analysis, Ultrasonic and Acoustic Analysis, and Electrical Analysis
Collect and analyze data from various sensors and monitoring systems to identify trends, anomalies, and patterns that indicate potential equipment failure
Conduct thorough investigations into equipment failures to determine the root cause and prevent recurrence utilizing necessary tools and approaches including FMEA
Use data-driven insights to create and refine maintenance plans in coordination with engineers in the field responsible for equipment
Work closely with personnel outside the CBM group such as asset owners, test operations engineers, systems engineers, and craftsmen to implement predictive technologies and promote expansion of their utilization within the industrial areas
Maintains a collaborative engineering environment within the AHA group and also between AHA and test cells, test systems, and plant systems operations across other NAS branches
It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy

Qualification
Required
BS degree in mechanical, industrial, or electrical engineering from an accredited university. NOTE: This posting is specifically for engineers with less than 5 years' post BS degree engineering experience
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret level security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network
Due to Air Force Security requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required for employment at AEDC
Preferred
Knowledge of or experience with PdM technologies (infrared, ultrasound, vibration and oil analysis)
Coursework or declared minor in Asset Management and/or Reliability Centered Maintenance/Condition Based Maintenance
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis abilities
CMRP Certification
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with management and customers, both written and verbal
Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
