Responsibilities

You'll be in charge of setting up, programming, and operating CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) lathes from start to finish
Act as our first line of defense for quality. You'll use calipers, micrometers, and blueprints to inspect products meticulously and ensure they meet our exact specifications
Showcase your skills by efficiently running more than one machine at a time
You'll also learn to recognize and troubleshoot machining issues, making adjustments as needed
Get to know our full line of Dixon products and embrace opportunities to learn new machines and techniques
Work safely and collaboratively, participate in team training, and contribute to daily preventative maintenance to keep our shop running smoothly

Required

High school diploma or equivalent required
A minimum of 5 or more years of hands-on experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) lathes
You can confidently read and interpret complex blueprints
You are proficient with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools—you have a keen eye for detail
Mechanical Aptitude: You're naturally good with tools and understanding how machines work
Great attitude, a reliable work ethic (attendance is key!), and you're always willing to learn
Ability to stand for extended periods and can lift up to 50 lbs during your shift

Preferred

A background in G-code programming is a huge plus!
Familiarity with CAM software (like SmartCam)
Experience with sub-spindle pickoff and bar feeders
Turret Ops: Knowledge of wait codes for 2-turret operations (though we are willing to train the right person on this!)
