LHH is a leading global law firm seeking a Patent Specialist to join its Orange County office. The role involves preparing and filing patent applications, managing prosecution filings, and providing legal support to attorneys and Patent Agents.

Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and file PTO communications, including new applications, Office Action responses, IDS, and assignments
Manage client extranets and maintain accurate correspondence and filings
Handle foreign prosecution tasks, including PCT filings and national stage entries
Communicate with foreign associates and track deadlines for global filings
Analyze issued U.S. patents for Patent Term Adjustment and compile worldwide portfolio data
Prepare letters, legal documents, and reports; manage calendars and billing processes
Provide backup support and assist with special projects as needed

Required

High school diploma required
Knowledge of intellectual property terminology and patent prosecution processes
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
Effective communication skills with attorneys, clients, and vendors
