Purchasing Buyer
KerberRose is partnering with a well-established, engineering-driven manufacturer known for delivering high-value conveyor and material handling solutions. The Buyer will support plant operations by identifying, sourcing, and procuring goods and services necessary for manufacturing and project demands.
Responsibilities
Analyze supplier quotes and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
Communicate with suppliers regarding quality, delivery, and issue resolution
Identify purchasing needs through system reorder points and project demand
Manage and maintain vendor-managed inventory programs
Evaluate supplier performance and provide improvement recommendations
Coordinate facility-related purchasing, including janitorial services, vending, maintenance, and other building services
Enter and maintain purchasing transactions in the ERP system
Support project timelines by ensuring materials are available when needed
Qualification
Required
Prior buying or purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience working with ERP systems
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across business units
Excellent organization, prioritization, and multitasking skills
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access)
Willingness to travel for day trips to a Wisconsin manufacturing facility (1–2 times per month)
3–5 years of experience required
Manufacturing environment experience is a must
