Make Ready Technician

Responsibilities

Prepare vacant apartments for new residents by completing repairs, cleaning, and ensuring all features are in working order per our Total Quality Make Ready (TQMR) program
Perform intermediate level maintenance tasks, including light fixture replacements, minor plumbing repairs, appliance checks, HVAC PM and drywall patching
Assist with painting, carpet cleaning, and exterior touch-ups to meet market-ready standards
Maintain inventory, report supply needs, and support the maintenance team with work orders and groundskeeping as needed
Maintain the cleanliness and curb appeal of the property, including grounds, parking lots, breezeways, amenities, and common areas
Work independently while following company standards, demonstrating attention to detail, and maintaining a commitment to resident satisfaction
Provide emergency and on-call maintenance support as needed
Support the team with other duties as needed to maintain resident satisfaction and property standards
In this role, you will travel daily to one of the assigned communities within your region. This will typically not exceed a 25-mile radius of the designated primary location

Required

Prior experience in make-ready, maintenance, or related field
Venterra certification of intermediate level plumbing, electrical, appliance and HVAC skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple unit turns efficiently
Strong attention to detail and proactive approach to maintaining company standards
Ability to work flexible schedules, including participation in an on-call rotation
Clean Motor Vehicle Record required
Lifting/carrying (supplies, equipment, etc.): Over 75 lbs. Rare need, 25 – 75 lbs. Occasional need, 1 – 25 lbs. Constant need
