Responsibilities

Oversee accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting in partnership with the school’s outsourced accounting team (CLA) and internal staff
Prepare clear, timely financial reports for the Head of School, Finance Committee, and Board of Trustees
Partner on annual budgets, long-range forecasts, and tuition modeling
Manage investment, banking, and insurance relationships
Ensure strong internal controls, compliance, and risk management practices
Lead day-to-day operations across both campuses with a service-minded approach
Oversee facilities maintenance, vendor contracts, and leased-space relationships
Manage operational technology systems (Bill.com, QuickBooks Online, Clarity, RAMP, EZ School Apps)
Oversee payroll, benefits, hiring, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance
Partner with the Head of School to support transparent, respectful employment practices
Coordinate annual benefits renewals and compliance filings
Support a coordinated, schoolwide approach to risk management
Serve as co-chair and administrative lead of the Risk Management Committee
Oversee domains including cybersecurity, enrollment sustainability, facilities compliance, student safety, employee relations, and vendor risk
Ensure appropriate insurance coverage and report findings to the Board
Serve as a strategic partner to the Head of School
Support the Finance Committee and Board with accessible reporting and recommendations
Supervise and mentor Business Office staff
Participate in strategic planning and scenario modeling
Oversee administration of the financial aid program

Required

8+ years of progressive experience in nonprofit, education, or small-organization finance and operations
Proven ability to manage HR, facilities, and financial systems
Strong technical proficiency with accounting and workflow tools

Collaborative, grounded, and deeply mission-aligned
