Responsibilities

Assist the Director of Engineering in the full upkeep of the asset by using Synergy, scheduling and assigning work orders and preventative maintenance tasks, and other related projects

Assist the Director of Engineering in the procurement of supplies and the issuance of purchase orders by using Birchstreet

Review work orders and assign work by priorities

Maintain proper maintenance supplies

Respond to guest requests appropriately

Assist with completing the department schedule and administration of payroll and time off requests

Work with the Engineering staff on a shift basis and coordinates their activities and training

Assume the full responsibility for the Engineering Department in the absence of the Director of Engineering Services

Have a thorough understanding of Omni's safety equipment and programs including fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation

Have a thorough understanding of all trade skills and code

Must be familiar with Omni's Systems and Services procedures

Budget, forecasting and spending within limits. Control forecasting. Heat, light and power. Produce capital budget and quotes

Qualification

HVAC experienceMechanical experienceManagement experienceHotel engineering experienceCommunication skills

Required

Must have extensive HVAC and mechanical experience

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays

2 years management experience required

Preferred

5 or more years of hotel engineering experience preferred
