Go Ahead London is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to ensure the engineering running shift team operates effectively and efficiently. The role involves managing vehicle availability, conducting maintenance, and overseeing the engineering team to deliver quality service.

Responsibilities

Allocate work and duties to the engineering team to ensure sufficient vehicles are available to provide the required service

Ensure the engineering team effectively and efficiently deliver planned and unplanned maintenance

Ensure the PVR (Peak Vehicle Requirement) is delivered and managed daily, likely involving cooperation with the Operations Teams

Review vehicles and assign a status to each, ensuring unsafe and unfit vehicles do not enter service and logging any lost mileage. This includes highlighting any specific mileage challenges that may arise

Conduct frequent and regular reviews of the facilities and workshop, covering general housekeeping, health, and safety, and reporting any issues and defects

Ensure visitors or contractors working in the engineering department have the necessary permits and supervise any engineering contractors

Carry out quality checks on vehicles, ensuring they meet DVSA and company standards

Manage the running shift engineers during your shift, ensuring they have the skills and ability to perform their roles. This includes performance management and ensuring time at work is effective and productive
