AIR RESOURCES ENGINEER
The California Air Resources Board is dedicated to improving air quality and protecting public health. They are seeking an Air Resources Engineer to analyze and interpret community air quality data, enhance the AQview platform, and support projects related to emerging toxic air contaminants.

Responsibilities
Conducting comprehensive analyses of air quality data
Developing innovative techniques to analyze all air monitoring data across California
Helping communities interpret the data in explicit and understandable ways
Coordinating with data providers to expand AQview by adding more air monitoring data, including the integration of independent sensor networks and additional community monitoring data from various projects
Strategically planning and supporting the development of data analytical modules, data summaries, and other enhancements of AQview features to address evolving needs of community members and other partners
Conducting outreach activities on the findings from data analyses and the use of AQview to access and interpret air quality data and collect feedback to improve AQview
Contribute to the information gathering, data analysis, protocol development, and cross-agency coordination related to emerging toxics
Qualification
Required
Strong background in air quality data management, analysis, visualization, interpretation, and presentation
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to conduct comprehensive analyses of air quality data
Ability to develop innovative techniques to analyze all air monitoring data across California
Ability to help communities interpret the data in explicit and understandable ways
Ability to coordinate with data providers to expand AQview by adding more air monitoring data
Ability to strategically plan and support the development of data analytical modules, data summaries, and other enhancements of AQview features
Ability to conduct outreach activities on the findings from data analyses and the use of AQview
Ability to contribute to the information gathering, data analysis, protocol development, and cross-agency coordination related to emerging toxics
