Start in 2026 SpringCopperPoint Insurance Companies is a leading provider of workers’ compensation and commercial insurance solutions, and they are seeking a Summer 2026 Commercial Underwriting Intern. The intern will gain hands-on experience in underwriting operations, support the underwriting team, and develop skills necessary for a career in the insurance industry.

Responsibilities
Research and prepare reports to support underwriting decisions and operational efficiency
Assisting with account reviews and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data
Initiating, participating in, and attending team meetings
Providing clear, timely, and professional communication with underwriting staff and agency partners
Develop PowerPoint presentations, training materials, and documentation as needed
Identifying opportunities to improve underwriting processes and project management
Shadowing other departments to gain a well-rounded understanding of the insurance industry
Providing additional ad-hoc support to the team as needed
Qualification
Required
A current college undergraduate pursuing a degree in business, finance, economics, risk management, insurance, or a related field
A resident of Washington State and/or currently attending a college or university in Washington
Proficient in Microsoft® Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Comfortable working with data and analyzing sensitive information
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
Able to multitask, prioritize work, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Interested in pursuing a career in underwriting or the insurance industry post-graduation
Benefits
The intern will accrue 0.0692 of Paid Time Off (PTO) per paid hour.
