Regional Sales Manager (Life Sciences)

LHH is partnering with a California-based life sciences and medical manufacturing client in their search for a Regional Sales Manager. This role involves servicing current and prospective clients in Northern California, focusing on selling innovative medical instruments and building long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities

Work with clinical, laboratory, biotechnology and research organizations to sell innovative instruments and ancillary products, with the goal of placing large instruments with new clients
Develop new client relationships across Northern California, leveraging leads and research tools to identify opportunity, sign new business, and maintain long-term relationships
Manage a book of existing clients in Northern California, introducing yourself as a resource with the goal of maintaining current business and driving growth and profitability within existing accounts
Travel throughout Northern California to meet with clients, signing new business, providing training and product education, and developing relationships with relevant stakeholders in and out of laboratory settings
Collaborate with regional, national and international partners within the organization to share expertise and maintain constant, relevant product and industry knowledge

Required

3+ years of professional experience in medical device sales, ideally working in the life sciences or biotechnology spaces
Experience selling to laboratories, healthcare organizations, research and/or pharmaceutical companies
Experience selling both instruments and ancillary products, nurturing long term relationships with current and future clients
Deep comfort with regional car travel and consistent, in-person meetings throughout the Bay Area, Sacramento and various additional Northern California metro areas (~80%)

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, including life sciences or similar, highly preferred
