Responsibilities

Manage projects associated with mitigation of obsolescence issues across the Standard Missile portfolio including reviewing trade studies, identification of suitable alternate and interchangeable materials, or design changes as needed
Establish and maintain product vision, strategy, and goals to align with multiple contracts and facilitate production line conflict resolution with respect to schedule impacts
Lead teams of engineers in support of hardware development and transition to production
Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution across the IPTs and other functions to meet cost, schedule, and technical requirements
Regularly interface with program and portfolio leads as well as Customer(s)
Support proposal efforts by determining technical scope and basis of estimates
Travel to suppliers and other Raytheon facilities as needed

Required

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
Experience with Operations documentation (WKIs, TIs, TE prove-in, etc)
Project Management experience as technical leader of small teams of engineers
Must be willing to travel to suppliers and other Raytheon facilities as needed
Active DoD issued security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred

Twelve (12) years of directly related work experience in mechanical design and/or production support
Mechanical aptitude to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity
Strong leadership skills and project management experience
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; both verbal and written
Proficient in Creo (modeling and drawing) and Windchill (PDM)
Experience with ERB/CCB process; CCB chair certification or ability to be certified
Demonstrated leadership skills and project management experience
Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills; both verbal and written
