Fourth Floor is a wholesale apparel brand looking for an Assistant Designer to join their team in NYC. The role involves supporting the design team in executing collections, creating sketches, assisting with tech packs, and maintaining communication with overseas factories.

Responsibilities

Support the design team in executing the full collection from initial concept through final production

Create detailed sketches for new and existing styles

Assist heavily with tech packs, ensuring all sketches, callouts, and updates remain accurate throughout development

Help with CAD work including updating prints, colorways, layouts, and presentation boards

Support production approvals, including reviewing trims, fabrics, lab dips, strike-offs, and communicating comments

Assist with fits, taking notes during fit sessions and ensuring revisions are clearly passed along to Technical Design and overseas partners

Conduct trend research aligned with brand direction

Maintain daily communication with overseas factories regarding samples, trims, fabrics, and development needs

Keep the showroom organized, updated, and visually merchandised
