Responsibilities
Responsible for general maintenance and construction work required to keep up appearance and safety of Recreation and Parks facilities and grounds
Operates front end deck mowers, turf tractors, backhoe, chain saws, and other power equipment
Operates, maintains, and repairs departmental equipment
Assists in ground and building maintenance as well as landscaping duties
Assists supervisors in planning and organizing work
Assists supervisors in training unskilled laborers
Organizes and sets up daily work assignments
Assists with the installation of trench shoring equipment
Follows all safety policies and procedures
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Six (6) months of experience in maintenance, repair, and/or construction work
Possession of a valid North Carolina driver's license, or any valid driver's license with ability to obtain a North Carolina driver's license within 60 days of establishing a permanent residence in North Carolina
