Local Area Network/Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN) architecture and pathways
Bandwidth management principles and techniques
Network traffic flow (TCP/IP and OSI model)
Performance tuning tools and techniques
Remote access technologies
Virtual Private Network (VPN) security
Network protocols (TCP/IP, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Domain Name System (DNS), directory services)
Common network tools (e.g., ping, traceroute, nslookup)
File system implementations (e.g., New Technology File System (NTFS), File Allocation Table (FAT), Extended File System (EXT))
Virtualization technologies and virtual machine management
IT security principles and methods (e.g., firewalls, demilitarized zones (DMZs), encryption)
Network security architecture concepts (topology, protocols, defense-in-depth)
Cybersecurity principles, threats, and vulnerabilities
National and international cybersecurity laws, regulations, and policies

Required

Four (4) years of system management experience
4 + years of Professional Experience in Systems Administration
Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field
Information Assurance Technician (IAT) II level – Security+ CE OR CCNA Security, OR CompTIA CySA+ OR GIAC GSEC or SSCP
Secret Clearance
