Responsibilities
Prepare and coordinate federal, state, and local income tax filings across multiple entity types
Calculate and support quarterly and annual tax estimates and related deliverables
Prepare supporting workpapers and reconcile differences between financial reporting and tax reporting
Conduct tax research and communicate findings in a clear, practical way
Support tax examinations/audits, including documentation and issue follow-up with taxing authorities
Monitor tax law developments and help assess impacts to filings and internal processes
Maintain a detailed tax compliance calendar to ensure deadlines are consistently met
Assist with special projects and cross-functional support as needed
Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
4+ years of experience in tax compliance and/or tax accounting (federal and/or state)
Experience preparing and coordinating income tax returns for multiple entity types
Strong tax research skills and comfort working with evolving rules and guidance
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Advanced spreadsheet and document skills for workpapers and analysis
Preferred
CPA and/or Master's degree
Public accounting background and/or experience in a complex, multi-entity environment
Experience mentoring or guiding junior staff (not required)
