Responsibilities

Focus on large-scale power transmission and substation projects, including utility-driven, renewable evacuation, and grid modernization programs within the U.S. market
Identify new business development opportunities by tracking leads, market intelligence, utility expansion plans, and upcoming tenders
Develop and communicate value propositions for EPC services in HV/EHV transmission lines and substations, demonstrating technical differentiation and commercial competitiveness
Engage with utilities, ISOs, consultants, EPC partners, and developers to secure project opportunities, prequalification’s, and approvals
Generate new business by meeting prospective clients to understand project requirements and propose tailored EPC or consortium-based solutions
Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline from lead generation through contract award, actively managing opportunities to improve win ratios
Manage the end-to-end sales and bid lifecycle, from opportunity identification and qualification through proposal submission and contract closure
Coordinate internally with engineering, estimation, legal, finance, and project teams to ensure compliant and competitive bids
Organize and deliver presentations, attend industry conferences, utility meetings, and technical forums to enhance market visibility and relationships
Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activity, sharing insights internally to support business strategy and market positioning
Consistently meet or exceed monthly and annual business development targets

Strong understanding of power transmission and substation EPC contracting models
Sound knowledge of U.S. utility procurement processes, bid qualification requirements, and commercial frameworks
Good grasp of business processes, commercial terms, and risk assessment in large infrastructure projects
Proven experience in business development or sales within the power or electrical infrastructure industry
Strong negotiation, influencing, and client relationship management skills
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience in preparing and supporting technical-commercial proposals and tenders
Conversant in English; additional language skills are an advantage

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Civil Engineering, or Business Management
10–15 years of relevant experience in power transmission and/or substation projects
Exposure to HV/EHV voltage levels (138kV–765kV) and utility-scale infrastructure projects
Experience working with utilities, ISOs, EPC contractors, or power developers in the U.S
