Infrastructure Administrator
Badger Liquor Co., Inc. is seeking an Infrastructure Administrator to oversee the administration and support of their IT infrastructure. The role involves ensuring the reliability and performance of network systems while collaborating with internal teams and vendors to deliver effective technology solutions.
Responsibilities
Ensure maximum uptime, performance, and security of network and infrastructure systems
Proactively identify and resolve network issues before they impact business operations
Support scalable, secure, and resilient IT infrastructure aligned with organizational goals
Partner with internal teams and vendors to deliver reliable technology solutions
Design, implement, manage, and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity, bandwidth, and outage issues
Plan and execute network hardware and software upgrades with minimal disruption
Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions for network configurations
Respond to and resolve network-related incidents in a timely manner
Maintain accurate documentation including network diagrams, configurations, and policies
Provide advanced support to the technical support team for complex networking issues
Support mission-critical infrastructure environments to maximize system uptime and productivity
Travel to other company locations as required
Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Stay current on emerging networking, infrastructure, and security technologies
Recommend and implement enhancements that improve performance, scalability, and security
Support integration of new technologies during system installations and upgrades
Contribute to the evolution of hybrid and cloud-based networking solutions
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to understand and support network needs
Work closely with third-party vendors for hardware/software procurement and advanced issue resolution
Communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Serve as a trusted technical resource and subject matter expert
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in Networking, Computer Science, Management Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience required
3–5 years of experience in network administration or a related IT role
Experience with network design, installation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios)
Strong expertise in network administration and troubleshooting (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi)
Deep understanding of network security principles, firewalls, VPNs, and security protocols
Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team
Adaptability in a fast-paced, and evolving technology environment
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Networking, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems preferred
Experience with Azure and Office 365 preferred
Experience with virtual server environments and network virtualization preferred
Familiarity with cloud-based and hybrid networking solutions (Azure, AWS)
