Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the organization’s R&D goals, anticipating future trends and disruptive technologies in the surgical and healthcare landscape
Champion the adoption of digital tools, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to accelerate R&D cycles, enhance surgical device functionality, and enable personalized medicine
Lead multidisciplinary teams to identify, evaluate, and implement innovative solutions, including robotics, IoT, digital surgery platforms, and advanced imaging technologies
Build partnerships with clinical, academic, and industry stakeholders to foster open innovation and ensure the R&D pipeline leverages the latest scientific and technological advances
Establish robust processes for technology evaluation, risk assessment, and compliance with regulatory and cybersecurity standards in the healthcare sector
Mentor and develop a high-performing technology team, promoting continuous learning and a growth mindset in a rapidly evolving R&D environment
Oversee the effective deployment of digital platforms and tools that improve process efficiency, data integrity, and collaboration across global R&D sites

Required

Master's Degree or equivalent through experience
15 Years of Related Experience
Deep understanding of the digital transformation landscape, including AI/ML, robotics, cloud computing, data security, and digital health ecosystems
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., MDR, FDA, GDPR) and standards relevant to medical technology and digital health
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills
25% Domestic and International Travel Required

Preferred

Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Sciences, or related field or equivalent through experience

Ability to influence and inspire diverse teams
Commitment to ethical standards and patient-centricity

Benefits

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
