Process Engineering Manager

Responsibilities
Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency
Manage and mentor a team of process engineers, supporting both technical performance and professional development
Analyze production data and workflows to identify inefficiencies and implement cost-effective process improvements
Oversee internal improvement initiatives, including project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., R&D and Production) to streamline operations and support new product launches
Ensure all processes comply with safety, regulatory, and quality standards, including conducting risk assessments
Monitor and report on key performance metrics related to cost, quality, and output
Troubleshoot complex production, equipment, and tooling issues and develop innovative, practical solutions
Contribute to strategic decision-making to optimize process systems and operational performance

Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent GED
Official Technical Degree
5+ years' experience in management and/or technical leadership
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and improvement methodologies
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to provide constructive performance coaching to peers and direct reports, both individual contributors and supervisors to ensure desired outcomes
Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma quality processes
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
5+ years of experience in management and/or technical leadership within the Tool & Die field
Formal training in Tool & Die
10+ years of experience setting up, operating, and developing processes for die cast machines, preferably including Buhler, Prince, and Weingarten equipment
Strong working knowledge of complex die cast tooling
