NEOGOV is seeking an Interior Designer Intern to support the Planning, Design and Construction Division. The role involves coordinating with project managers and various departments on furniture procurement and move services, while also supervising in-house furniture movers and managing schedules.

Responsibilities

Performs analysis of existing furniture assets as to condition and suitability for new construction, renovation and relocations

Researches and selects furniture, both case goods and systems, as required for new construction and/or renovation projects

Coordinates delivery and assembly of furniture assets as per required timing as identified by the Facilities Project Manager

Applies knowledge, analysis and management of move services provided by contracted professional movers and in-house movers. Obtains price proposals, performs negotiations and monitors move services

Responsible for research of appropriate furniture, fixtures and equipment items to support projects, design layouts, procurement and coordinating delivery and installation of these items

Ensures furniture and move services are provided within allotted time frame and budget of the project

Develops and maintains a database of purchased County furniture budgeted by the Facilities Management Department

Develops designs for spatial needs using REVIT or AutoCAD software

Performs other job-related duties as assigned
