Responsibilities
Routine maintenance including greasing and cleaning of plant equipment
Daily record keeping
Perform laboratory and field analyses
Reading and interpreting meters and gauges
Routine ground maintenance
Perform sampling and routine process control tests
Respond to emergency calls 24/7
Locate problems and operate sewer cleaning equipment to clear stoppage
Assist in installing new water and sewer services
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D)
One year of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
Valid Driver's License as per State law or requirement
Ability to obtain the following certifications within two years of hiring based on job assignment: Wastewater Treatment Certification Level 1, Wastewater Collection Certification Level I, Water Treatment Certification Level I, Water Distribution Certification Level I, Water Production Certification Level I
Knowledge of customer service principles
Knowledge of recordkeeping principles
Knowledge of applicable tools and equipment
Knowledge of maintenance and grounds principles
Knowledge of parish geography
Skills to perform manual labor
Skills to use applicable tools and equipment
Skills to perform routine maintenance and repair activities
