Data Analytics Specialist
JLL is a global provider of real estate and investment management services, and they are seeking a Data Analytics Specialist to join their Global Internal Audit team. The role involves designing and implementing data-driven solutions for audit engagements, collaborating with audit teams, and enhancing the company's data analytics capabilities.

Responsibilities
Independently manage end-to-end analytics projects, from initial scoping through final delivery, with minimal oversight
Proactively identify and communicate project risks, opportunities, and timeline adjustments to stakeholders
Identify and propose automation and process improvement opportunities to enhance audit efficiency and effectiveness
Design data analytics approaches that align with engagement objectives and internal audit standards
Collaborate with audit teams to develop analytics requirements and approaches for engagements
Design, develop, and maintain data models, reports, and dashboards to support audit planning and execution
Reformulate business questions from audit teams into structured analytics problem statements
Develop and validate hypotheses about relationships between inputs and outputs in audit data
Create comprehensive data management plans for audit analytics projects
Gather, clean, and analyze complex datasets from diverse sources across on-premises and cloud environments
Apply intermediate data analysis techniques to test controls and identify anomalies
Integrate data analytics into audit planning and risk assessment processes
Create data-driven approaches to evaluate governance structures and processes
Develop analytics methods to test for potential fraud indicators and anomalies
Support development of strategic data pipelines and agentic workflows in preparation for next-generation autonomous audit technologies
Create compelling data visualizations and 'data stories' to communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders
Document data findings in a clear, actionable format for stakeholders
Anticipate future analytical needs and recommend innovative solutions to address emerging audit challenges
Support the development and maintenance of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) models for domain-specific knowledge in audits
Analyze data to assess compliance with key regulatory requirements
Support integrated assurance approaches by coordinating with other assurance providers
Qualification
Required
Proven ability to work autonomously with exceptional attention to detail, taking full ownership of deliverables with minimal supervision
Demonstrated track record of proactive stakeholder management, including regular status updates, risk identification, and solution-oriented communication
Self-starter mentality with ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and analytical innovation with minimal direction
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects independently with strong time management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills, capable of handling sensitive data and delivering complex information effectively
Strong business acumen to translate audit objectives into actionable analytics approaches with minimal guidance
Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Python libraries)
Familiarity with Jupyter notebooks for data analysis and visualization
Knowledge of statistical methods and their applications in audit testing
Strong team player who can work autonomously or collaboratively
Bachelor's or master's degree in data science, business analytics, management information systems, or a related STEM field
2-4 years of experience in data analytics with demonstrated ability to work independently and manage projects from conception to completion
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with audit processes and risk management concepts
Preferred
Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their practical applications
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CIA, CAP, CDMP, or vendor-specific certifications) are a plus
