Responsibilities
Design tooling and mechanical assemblies using Autodesk Inventor , Vault , and AutoCAD
Modify and revise existing equipment drawings to support upgrades and improvements
Obtain vendor quotes, select components, and manage part procurement
Develop and execute experimental plans to validate mechanical designs
Assemble systems or oversee assembly activities, with opportunities for hands-on work
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues during equipment integration into production
Support manufacturing equipment repair and maintenance activities
Manage and coordinate mechanics and electricians during equipment installation and assembly
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including process, electrical, and IT engineers
Work with operations to update technical documentation and support training initiatives
Ensure compliance with all plant safety policies and procedures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent practical engineering experience
Minimum 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Mechanical system design and integration experience
Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Inventor preferred) and AutoCAD
Working knowledge of drafting standards and GD&T
Experience working with machine shops and external vendors
Hands-on troubleshooting experience with pneumatic systems
Hands-on troubleshooting experience with flow control systems
Hands-on troubleshooting experience with water cooling systems
Experience with manufacturing equipment repair and maintenance
Experience leading or coordinating trades during equipment assembly and installation
Preferred
Familiarity with plastic extrusion manufacturing
Electrical troubleshooting experience, including low and medium voltage systems
Electrical troubleshooting experience, including motion control systems
Electrical troubleshooting experience, including PLCs
Electrical troubleshooting experience, including temperature control systems
Working knowledge of data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, PI, and/or Power BI
