Responsibilities
Certify Design Specifications and Design Reports in accordance with ASME Sec III requirements
Serve as a certifying engineer
Design reactor structures and components
Performing scoping analysis and calculations
Technically manage supplier activities
Qualification
Required
BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
8+ years of equipment/component design experience
Active PE license
Knowledge of ASME Sec III, NQA-1, and NRC regulations
Experience with FEA, mechanical analysis methods, and commercial mechanical stress analysis tools with an emphasis on ANSYS
Preferred
Certifying engineering, qualified to ASME Sec III (subsection NF desired)
PE certification
