Responsibilities
Receive and respond to incoming telephones calls and correspondence pertaining to tax due notices issued by the Department for individual tax
Assist walk-in taxpayers with problems/questions regarding tax due notices for individual income taxes
Collect delinquent taxes for individual income accounts through personal contact or by garnishing wages, levying bank accounts, filing property tax liens, and revocation of licenses
Obtain and analyze financial statements and documentation from taxpayers, accountants, CPAs, and attorneys to determine the taxpayers' ability to pay
Assist agencies with file uploads and data analysis
Qualification
Required
Three years of experience in accounting, financial auditing, tax administration, tax policy or law, management analysis, or administrative services in a financial setting
Six years of full-time work experience in any field
A bachelor's degree
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field
