Responsibilities

Share equally in the responsibility of providing direct service to customers of all agency programs
Assist customers with opening of accounts, payment of assessed fees or on accounts, payment agreements, and collection of money
Seek ways to improve customer service and productivity
Assist supervisors and workers' compensation adjudicators by providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers by answering incoming calls and performing complex clerical support
Review accounts and performing audits for customers according to RCWs Title 51 and WAC
Communicate audit findings, offering consulting, and educating customers and employers
Work with internal and external staff to resolve audits
Collect, review and maintain employee appointment, time and attendance records
Perform payroll consulting duties by assisting with insurance benefits questions, retirement enrollments and other relevant guidance for employees

Required

Be a currently serving active-duty military member honorably transitioning from active service, within 60 days of discharge
Be a currently serving Army or Air National Guard or Reserves member
Be an honorably discharged military member or retiree
Be the spouse of a currently serving military member (all branches)
Attach a current resume & eligibility verification document
Complete the application questions
A cover letter describing specific qualifications
A current resume detailing applicable experience and education
A list of at least three professional references with current telephone numbers
An eligibility verification document, the following are acceptable forms: DD Form 214, Current orders & marriage certificate for spouses
A job offer is contingent upon completion of a background check that includes a criminal record review
For positions requiring travel, you must have a valid unrestricted driver's license and have insurance if driving a privately owned vehicle on state business
Candidates who are offered a job with L&I must possess work authorization that does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa now or in the future
The selected candidate must be able to provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States consistent with the requirements of that form on the first day of employment
