Responsibilities

Measure current operational performance and/or customer satisfaction
Identify optimization opportunities to reduce injuries and security line wait times
Research, analyze, and interpret operational data
Develop new reports and dashboards and automate existing ones
Perform reliability/root-cause analysis for parts and maintenance
Evaluate and provide recommendations for improvement of key operational metrics including aircraft time at gate, gating efficiency, and feasibility of aircraft schedules
Seek operational improvements to reduce aircraft taxi time and flight time
Maintain, run and improve staffing models to support airport operations
Provide strategic and operational support and develop performance metrics and goals
Develop success factors and statistical evaluations of new procedures

Required

Students are required to complete three alternating semesters of work and school; all rotations must be completed before the student's graduation
Note: Students are not permitted to work part-time hours and should refrain from taking classes and working as a co-op in the same semester
The full-time work schedule for this role, while remaining actively enrolled in an approved undergraduate curriculum, is as follows: Summer 2026, Spring 2027, Fall 2027
Please ensure that this alternating semester rotation works with your university, curriculum, and/or academic advisor before applying
Enrolled in an Undergraduate program in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or similar 4-year degree program
Available for three alternating semesters for full-time work
Ability to report in-person to Delta's World Headquarters (Atlanta, GA) or willing to relocate each semester (housing stipends will be provided to students who meet the minimum criteria)
Team oriented and highly supportive of continuous improvement methodologies
Strong organizational, project management, and verbal/written communication skills are essential
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools and concepts
Proficiency in Python, SQL or similar database query tool knowledge and Macro programming is strongly preferred
Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data
Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles
Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States

Preferred

Proficiency in Python, SQL or similar database query tool knowledge and Macro programming is strongly preferred
