Responsibilities
Develop and own the company's long-term (1-3 year) technology roadmap, aligning with business objectives and market opportunities, particularly within the DER (Distributed Energy Resources) and energy policy sectors. Improving delivery by owning & protecting the roadmap more closely, improving the planning cycle, making sure all the work in our sprints ties back to the roadmap
Take ownership of the technology budget and strategy for contracted development and technology partnerships
Oversee all aspects of security and compliance related to our technology infrastructure and data
Drive the identification, development, and protection of the company's intellectual property
Govern and support the oversight of software quality, testing and change management processes
Provide strategic and technical support to the VP and C-level leadership team on internal and external technology-related needs
Offer support for the resolution of P0 customer-facing technical issues
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role (e.g., VP of Engineering, VP Product, Director of Engineering, CTO)
Deep understanding of how to establish more shared engineering and product management standards, like team structure, size, and practices
Experience with security and compliance standards
Owned or overseen shipping ML in production
Experience supporting integration hubs; creativity in driving new solutions at the edge of what the internet supports
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred
Familiarity with the energy sector, particularly DER and energy policy
