Responsibilities
Under supervision, plan, coordinate, direct and promote programs and activities in the City Summer Aquatic Program
Train, supervise and evaluate part-time employees and volunteers participating in aquatics programs
In the shortage of staff, perform lifeguard and related duties
In the shortage of staff, provide swimming instruction
Perform other duties as required
Qualification
Required
Must possess current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
Current Water Safety Instruction (WSI) Certificate
Current First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificates
Valid Class C CA driver's license, including a safe driving record
Experience in working as a Lifeguard and/or Swim Instructor
Ability to effectively communicate and present information
Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Proficient swimmer
Positive, mature, reliable, professional, courteous and consistent
Preferred
Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training (LGT) Certification
