ARIVE is a high-growth fintech company revolutionizing digital mortgage originations. They are seeking a hands-on Finance & Accounting Director to manage the financial infrastructure and oversee accounting functions for their growing team.

Responsibilities

Own Accounting & Bookkeeping: Manage the full General Ledger in QuickBooks Online; own the monthly close, accurate coding, journal entries, and reconciliations (Bank, Credit Cards, AP/AR). Manage and optimize cash flow and working capital to ensure operational efficiency. Ensure we are audit-ready at all times

Revenue, SaaS Ops & Strategy: Oversee invoicing, reconciliations, AR aging, and collections. Manage key vendor/supplier contracts and spend to find creative solutions that reduce costs. Develop financial models and ad hoc analyses to provide data-driven insights that improve financial performance and operational efficiency

Taxes & Compliance: Coordinate timely federal/state/local filings with the CPA; maintain a compliance calendar (state nexus, licenses, registrations, insurance policies) and monitor/file/remit sales/use taxes as applicable

Payroll & Compensation: Ensure timely and accurate US payroll processing (Gusto) with strict confidentiality, including validation of benefit deductions. Calculate and process sales commissions and variable incentives. Oversee timely 401(k) remittances and annual plan compliance testing

Required

10+ years of progressive, hands-on accounting/finance experience with full General Ledger ownership and accrual accounting in a growing SMB (tech/fintech preferred)

BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Expert in QuickBooks Online, Excel modeling, SaaS metrics, Gusto, and expense management tools (e.g., Bill.com)

Comfortable using AI tools to automate routine workflows (e.g., data entry, reconciliation) for maximum velocity and efficiency

You will handle sensitive data (payroll, expenses, invoices, accounting, cash) with absolute integrity

Must be based in the Bay Area and able to come into the San Ramon office as needed for key collaboration and operational needs
