Parkhill is one of the largest architectural and engineering firms in the Southwest, and they are seeking an Electrical Engineer-In-Training (EIT) to support the design and integration of electrical systems for water resources projects. The role involves assisting in the design and coordination of civil engineering projects, utilizing AutoCAD, and communicating effectively with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design and coordination of civil engineering projects related to water/wastewater treatment systems
Utilize AutoCAD and other industry software to develop and revise construction drawings and technical documents
Conduct field visits and site observations under minimal supervision
Communicate project status and needs effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Assist in the planning and modeling of electrical systems including power distribution, motor control, lighting, standby power, and SCADA/instrumentation
Preparing electrical plans, technical specifications, one-line diagrams, control schematics, and bid/construction documents under the direction of senior engineers
Develop detailed design components, including non-standard or complex electrical and control system details for pumps, treatment processes, and water infrastructure
Support coordination with multidisciplinary design teams, permitting agencies, and clients as needed
Assist with field evaluations, construction support, and site visits as assigned
Perform other related duties as required to support project delivery

Qualification

Electrical EngineeringAutoCADEngineer-in-Training certificationWater/Wastewater treatment experienceField observation

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI) certification
Proficiency with AutoCAD and other civil design software
1 year of experience in water/wastewater treatment or related civil engineering discipline
Familiarity with field observation and construction administration tasks
