Responsibilities
Own and drive product strategy for enterprise data governance initiatives, ensuring alignment across governance, metadata, and data quality domains
Partner closely with governance councils, legal/compliance, and business stakeholders to establish and enforce data standards and policies
Lead initiatives related to Data Catalog, Metadata Management, and Data Quality, ensuring strong data stewardship practices
Analyze complex data landscapes and workflows across merchandising, product, and customer data domains
Translate data insights into clear, actionable product recommendations and roadmaps
Serve as a senior leader capable of influencing and presenting to executive and C-suite audiences
Qualification
Required
15+ years of experience in data stewardship, data governance, or data-focused product management (retail industry strongly preferred)
Broad and comprehensive understanding of data governance frameworks, metadata, governance councils, and data quality management
Hands-on experience with data governance tools such as Collibra, Alation, or similar platforms
Strong knowledge of product and customer data, including merchandising systems, processes, and data flows
Understanding of product hierarchy structures across brick-and-mortar stores and eCommerce platforms
Experience with Stibo PIM and Profisee (or similar master data management tools)
Technical proficiency with Python and the ability to engage with technical teams
Proven executive presence with the ability to confidently present to senior leadership and C-suite
Preferred
Experience working within large, complex retail or consumer enterprises
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to extrapolate insights and make strategic recommendations
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
