The main responsibility of this role is to automate verification and validation testing to ensure engineering designs meet product specifications, while collaborating with software, hardware, and system engineering teams.

Responsibilities
Ability to take system, hardware and software level requirements and develop verification test procedures
Creation and setup of test fixtures and test stations
Ability to create, interpret, modify programming source code in multiple languages such as Python, C++ and LabVIEW for automated test software
Supports Integration and Test, Design Verification, First Article and Production test
Ability to troubleshoot moderate to complex satellite communication equipment and firmware
Experience with RF test methods and developing test automation for:
Frequency Response
Gain Flatness and Stability
P1-dB Compression
Third Order Intermodulation
Harmonics and Spurious Emissions
Noise Figure
Phase Noise
Error Vector Magnitude (EVM)
Qualification
Required

Experience with RF test methods and developing test automation for Harmonics and Spurious Emissions
Experience with RF test methods and developing test automation for Noise Figure
Experience with RF test methods and developing test automation for Phase Noise
Experience with RF test methods and developing test automation for Error Vector Magnitude (EVM)
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related work experience is required
Minimum 10+ years of experience with test equipment and software, such as Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Phase Noise Analyzers, Signal Source Analyzers and Signal Generators
Understanding of modern satellite communications and RF engineering
Experience automating test equipment over remote GPIB, Ethernet, RS-232 and SNMP
Experience with RF related test equipment
Experience with RF calibration automation
Preferred
Minimum 5+ years of experience in programming in Python preferred
