Responsibilities

Lead electrical crews in field commissioning activities including First Time Energization, switching/LDL for AutoLOTO, minor issue resolution, equipment start-up switching, load bank connection and removal, and general support for Level 3–5 commissioning
Execute approved Methods of Procedure for all Level 3–5 activities and ensure crews follow the exact procedural steps
Review, validate, and execute AutoLOTO requests for all project electrical systems during Level 3–5 commissioning phases
Lead the field team through FTE, pre-functional and functional test plans, energization sequences, and integrated systems testing protocols in compliance with approved plans and permits
Attend and contribute to regular progress meetings and commissioning updates to ensure alignment with the project Cx plan
Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols during all commissioning phases and coordinate with Safety, QA/QC, and Field Operations to identify and mitigate commissioning risks
Participate in post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and incorporate feedback into updated commissioning standards and field practices
Maintain accurate, auditable logs of switching activities, AutoLOTO records, MOP signoffs, and commissioning support notes for turnover and compliance

Required

5+ years of electrical field experience on mission-critical or industrial projects with hands-on switching, LOTO, and commissioning support; proven track record with Level 3–5 activities preferred
Strong understanding of switchgear operation, transfer schemes, LV and MV switching practices, load bank procedures, and commissioning test support
High school diploma or equivalent required
Clear, firm communicator with experience directing crews, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and documenting switching activities
Direct crew activities, assign tasks, and maintain on-site discipline and procedural compliance
Uncompromising safety-first mindset and ability to enforce energized-work controls
Accurate execution of MOPs and meticulous record keeping for AutoLOTO and switching logs
Sound judgment during energization and testing; ability to escalate safety or technical issues immediately
Work closely with Commissioning teams, Energy Marshalls, Field Operations, Safety, QA/QC, and client representatives

Preferred

NFPA 70E and relevant safety certifications preferred; AutoLOTO or switching authority credentials a plus
Technical diploma or vocational training in electrical technology preferred
