Akkodis is seeking an Automation Engineer for a client in Rochester, NY. The role involves developing control system architecture diagrams and providing control system training to operations and maintenance staff at client sites.

Responsibilities

Lay out control panels and create electrical schematic designs using AutoCAD

Specify control system equipment, including electrical panel components and motor control center hardware

Prepare control system assembly documentation, including bill of materials, wire list, and installation scope of work

Prepare PLC I/O assignment lists

Develop process control PLC applications using Allen-Bradley Logix 5, 500, and 5000 software

Develop HMI (Human Machine Interface) applications with Rockwell FactoryTalk View, AVEVA Wonderware, GE Intellution iFix, or Ignition software

Provide direct support to clients on new and existing systems

Develop network designs and specify industrial data center equipment

Develop custom applications using Microsoft VB.Net and SQL relational database software

Provide ongoing client support at factory sites or via remote connection

Commission control systems as part of a startup team at client locations throughout the U.S
