Responsibilities

Provide tier-1 technical support for clinical applications and EMR/EHR systems
Troubleshoot issues with healthcare software, clinical workflows, and medical device interfaces
Document and resolve incidents related to clinical applications while maintaining data integrity
Escalate complex clinical application issues to appropriate specialized teams
Guide clinical end-users through application workflows and functionality
Participate in on-call support rotations for critical clinical systems
Collaborate with clinical informatics and application teams on issue resolution
Support clinical users with minimal disruption to patient care activities

Required

Minimum 6 months of experience supporting clinical applications or EMR/EHR systems
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
Hands-on experience with at least one major clinical system (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Allscripts, Athenahealth, etc.)
Understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare terminology
Experience troubleshooting application access, user interfaces, and basic functionality issues
Familiarity with healthcare IT environments and compliance considerations
Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot under time-sensitive conditions
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clinical staff
Ability to document technical issues and solutions clearly and accurately
Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays as scheduled
Willingness to travel up to 5% if needed

Preferred

Clinical application certifications (Epic, Cerner, etc.)
Experience in healthcare provider settings (hospitals, clinics, dialysis centers)
Knowledge of clinical device integration or interface engines
IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft, etc.)
