Responsibilities

Greets, instructs, directs and assists patients and visitors upon arrival to the service area or through telecommunication devices

Renders exceptional customer service to parents, patients, visitors and co-workers

Serves as coordinator, expert and patient liaison for healthcare services

Assists in maintaining medical records, filing systems, account balances and reconciliation of days accounts receivable

Performs charge entry and charge batching processes

Provides clerical and secretarial support

Performs other duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma or equivalent

3-5 years related work experience required

Ability to relate well with the public

Knowledge of computer data entry processes required

General knowledge of ICD-9/CPT coding and third party payer insurance verification processes and medical terminology required
