They are currently hiring a Laboratory Technician II who will perform various laboratory tests, operate lab equipment, and maintain accurate records while working autonomously during 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities
Testing of cheese samples for moisture, fat, pH, salt, and calcium content
Testing liquid samples for fat, protein, total solids, pH, titratable acidity
Operating various lab equipment (infrared, near infrared, electronic microscope, moisture oven, chloride analyzer, pH meter)
Preparing different chemical reagents to be used in certain analysis
Recording results in Excel spreadsheets and internal software
Communicate results to plant management team via email, phone, in person
Quality checks: temperatures on various equipment, autoclave sterilization, media pH, etc…
Lab cleanup at the end of shift and various cleaning throughout the month
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor
Qualification
Required
High School or General Education Degree Required
Basic Chemistry knowledge from high school or college
Understanding of scientific methods
Strong analytical and mathematical skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to work autonomously and contribute as a team
Accurate record keeping
Preferred
Laboratory Analysis preferred
Basic knowledge/experience using Microsoft office and outlook
Titrations and operation of lab equipment
