The role involves leading the cardiovascular surgery program, performing various surgical procedures, and engaging in administrative responsibilities to enhance service lines and quality of care.

Responsibilities

Lead the cardiovascular surgery program and perform a variety of cases including coronary bypass, valvular repair/replacement, and structural heart procedures
Engage in quality, outreach, research, and education responsibilities
Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of general cardiologists, interventionalists, and electrophysiologists
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients

Required

At least five years of experience post training
Qualification for Kansas state physician license
Diplomate of the American Board of Thoracic Surgery

Preferred

Experience or interest in general thoracic surgery
