They are seeking a Construction Management Intern to gain firsthand construction knowledge and experience, assisting in various aspects of project management and operations in the Heavy Civil Construction domain.

Responsibilities

Assist in the day-to-day management of overall project operations, people, and processes to help in learning all facets of the construction industry

Assist Project Managers with technical compliance and oversight of construction activities and field operations

Assist Field Superintendents in documenting daily and weekly progress reports

Assist with quality and quantity reporting

Read and interprets drawings, blueprints, specifications, and related technical documents

Assist with project scheduling and coordination

Perform other duties as required

Required

A full-time college/university student pursuing a bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or construction engineering

Basic knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods, etc.) as well as an understanding of industry practices, processes, and standards and their impact on project activities

Strong written and verbal skills. Ability to read, write, and interpret reports, manuals, and correspondence

Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills

Self-starter with a proactive approach who can adapt easily to a fast-paced environment

Effective multitasking while remaining detail oriented

Ability to work independently as well as with a team of professionals

Understand and adhere to all safety regulations

Understand and adhere to the Personal Protection Equipment requirements

Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 80 pounds

Walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch and sit

Work extended hours out of doors in a variety of weather conditions

Travel and some Saturday work are required
