On-Board Services is an on-site contract service provider for a local manufacturing entity providing full time positions. They are seeking a Product Development Technician to prepare batches of adhesives, perform testing and evaluation, and collect and analyze data under the guidance of senior scientists.

Responsibilities

Under the guidance of senior scientists, prepare batches of polyamide hot-melt adhesives or polyurethane adhesives

Perform testing and evaluation of adhesive products

Collect, analyze, and present data to scientists and technical staff

Participate in training programs to develop proficiency in all assigned duties

ChemistryMaterials ScienceRubber industry experiencePlastics compounding experienceCoatings industry experience

Required

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field from a four-year college or university, with three (3) or more years of related experience in the rubber, plastics compounding, or coatings industry; or

Associate's degree (A.A.) in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field, with five (5) or more years of related experience and/or extensive training in the rubber, plastics compounding, or coatings industry; or

An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
