Sales Manager

Haywire is seeking a dedicated and driven individual to join their team as a Sales Manager. This role is crucial for driving the restaurant's growth by securing new business and nurturing existing relationships, while ensuring the seamless execution of special events.

Responsibilities

Solicit, negotiate, and secure new business by building relationships with concierges, meeting planners, industry professionals, and through participation in industry events, conventions, and meetings
Maintain, utilize, and enhance a local area book of business to facilitate special event bookings and sales
Provide prompt follow-up on guest feedback to ensure satisfaction and foster repeat business
Generate “thank you” notes to clients after functions to encourage future engagements
Maintain continual communication with guests about important dates and deadlines, ensuring the restaurant team is informed and prepared to execute successful events (including pricing, cut-off dates, introductions, payment authorization, menu detailing, guarantees, etc.)
Handle incoming phone and web inquiries from clients efficiently and professionally
Prepare proposals and contracts for clients, ensuring clarity and alignment with both client expectations and restaurant capabilities
Follow up with clients during and after events to ensure satisfaction and address any feedback

Required

A minimum of 2 years of experience in restaurant sales or a similar position in this market is required
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Office Suite is necessary
Proven experience in negotiating pricing within restaurant guidelines
A solid understanding of food and beverage is a plus

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred
Experience using Tripleseat or similar sales software is preferred
Familiarity with OpenTable or similar booking software is preferred
