Responsibilities
Serve clients and support the case handling attorney during the Pre-Litigation phase of all assigned matters
Accountable to provide the best possible customer service to our clients and act as their advocate when working with any third parties on their behalf
Contact clients at minimum every 20 days to give case updates and check in with client regarding:
How they are doing and if there is anything else we can do to assist them
Status of medical treatment
Satisfaction with Laborde Earles’ handling of the case
Contact third parties such as medical providers and insurance companies on behalf of the client
Accountable to ensure that all matters assigned are handled as quickly, accurately, and thoughtfully as possible from case sign up through settlement
Follow the Litify Matter Plan for each matter assigned and complete each task timely, accurately, and completely
Ensure all data is properly and accurately entered into case management software (Litify)
Organize, save, and file all matter related documents
Draft, save, mail, fax, and/or email correspondence and supporting documents
Keep track of cases expenses, including copy and postage charges, entering into case management software (Litify) for each client
Accountable to provide handling attorney support as requested and as outlined in case management software (Litify) tasks
Timely response and completion of tasks assigned by handling attorney
Timely completion of all case management software (Litify) Matter Plan tasks
Qualification
Required
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Confidentiality and strong judgment
Problem analysis and problem-solving
Professionalism
Willingness to perform any/all tasks as assigned by handling attorney, supervisor and/or firm leadership in support of the firm's growth and success
Proficient in data entry and management
Strong computer and keyboarding experience
Previous experience within legal, medical, or insurance industry
Physical ability to sit for prolonged periods and lift up to 15 pounds
