Responsibilities
The Stock Controller Assistant supports the Regional Inventory and Loss Prevention Manager by assisting with inventory reporting, POS-Free and reservation monitoring, Goods in Transit follow-ups, stocktake preparation, and investigation support
Prepare and communicate regular inventory reports, including POS-Free, Reservation, Aging Stock on Hand, Negative Stock, and Goods in Transit
Monitor concession returns, ensuring accurate receipting, reconciliation, and support with follow-up in line with Zimmermann Policies and Procedures
Assist with investigation of inventory discrepancies, resolving minor issues such as actioning stock adjustments and escalating complex cases
Maintain trackers and audits across functions, identifying recurring issues, training opportunities, and risks
Follow up with stores to ensure corrective actions are completed within required timeframes and escalate overdue or high-risk items
Assist with store, warehouse, and 3PL stocktake planning, preparation, communication, and execution of bi-annual stocktakes and regular cycle counts
Support post-count reporting, variance investigations, and improvement action planning
Monitor and follow up outstanding Goods in Transit (GIT), partially receipted transfers, and pending Transfer Requests (TRs), escalating aged or high-risk items in line with required timeframes
Support in discrepancy resolution including back-end transfers, minor adjustments, and transfer cancellations
Assist with Lost in Transit investigations including gathering documentation and supporting evidence
Identify and escalate recurring Lost in Transit patterns, including transit zones, senders, or courier-related issues
Process intercompany inventory movements accurately and in line with Zimmermann Policies and Procedures
Maintain intercompany transfer trackers and escalate non-compliant or exceptional transactions, including cases where transfers do not meet paid-in-full (PIF) or sale conversion within the required timeframe
Support Finance with investigation of intercompany P&L variances, ensuring compliance and balance across entities
Support administration of theft, fraud, and incident investigations and reporting
Assist with maintaining investigation documentation, evidence logs, and records
Support checks and tracking on store security equipment and flag issues for escalation
Assist in monitoring inventory accuracy across ecommerce and physical 3PL warehouse environments by reconciling system stock against warehouse and 3PL reporting
Support reconciliation of virtual warehouses, including validation of expensing reports for finance
Assist with preparation, documentation, and evidence collection for 3PL stocktakes and warehouse investigations
Assist with BOH organisation, stock-on-hand capacity checks, and WHS compliance
Support adherence to inventory and loss prevention Policies and Procedures through reporting and follow-up
Assist with training coordination and documentation as required
Support WHS compliance by regular store BOH check ins, feedback and follow-up actions
Escalate observed risks, non-compliance, or process gaps promptly
Qualification
Required
Experience in retail stock control or administration preferred
Basic understanding of inventory systems, POS-Free, and reporting
Strong attention to detail and follow-up discipline
Organised, proactive, and willing to learn inventory and loss prevention processes
