DIRECTOR OF PSYCHOLOGY (Garden City, NY)
Life's WORC is seeking a Director of Psychology to oversee clinical support for individuals with intellectual disabilities and Autism. This role involves developing behavior support plans, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure quality services, and supervising clinical staff.

Responsibilities
Participates in intake, program screenings, and outreach to DDRO/OPWDD
Develops clinical justifications and Behavior Support Plans for all new residences
Works closely with the Residential/Day Habilitation Supervisors, Directors, Managers and Clinicians to ensure quality, person-centered, individualized services are provided to those in need of Clinical support
Offers direct collaboration and support to all psychology/behavioral consultants and ensures all Behavior Support Plans are person-centered
Collaborates with families and outside service providers, as needed
Compiles behavioral data, include graphing, analysis and treatment recommendations
Responsible for reviewing and managing the Monthly Challenging Behavior Summaries
Participates in Clinical Incident Review Committee and Internal Audit follow-ups
Responsible for the oversight and management of the behavior consent process
Participates in the Human Rights Committee meetings by gathering pertinent data/information and presenting to the committee. This person will also follow up with any recommendations that are suggested
Fills in for vacant Behavior Intervention Specialist positions in the residences
Supervises Day Program Behavior Intervention Specialist
Develops and conducts clinical trainings as needed
Conducts New Employee Orientation and New Management Orientation trainings
Develops and ensures clinical systems meet Quality Assurance requirements
Offers support and assistance to ensure regulatory compliance around OPWDD clinical areas
Provides crisis intervention support, as needed
Facilitates clinical or department meetings as needed
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in Psychology (BCBA preferred)
Minimum of five years' experience working with and supporting people with intellectual disabilities and Autism
Excellent communication, verbal/written skills, project management skills and organization
Working knowledge of OPWDD regulations
Valid driver's license
Preferred
Certified SCIP-R trainer preferred
Licensed Mental Health Professional a plus
