Responsibilities

Collaborates with managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff
Designs, delivers, and assesses learning activities and curriculums related to clinical competencies, departmental/organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and the use of clinical information technologies
Serves as a consultant/mentor for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development
Participates in the development, coordination, and delivery of new staff orientation and education activities

Required

Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing or Paramedic program
Current RN licensure or EMT-P license
Five years of critical care experience and one year of teaching experience
Two years in course coordination
CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS)
CPR-Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
CPR-Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
IDPH Lead Instructor within one year of hire

Preferred

More than two years in course coordination
Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree
Current IDPH Instructor
Certified ACLS Instructor
Certified BLS Instructor
Certified PALS Instructor
