Senior Manager Technology Prosper Center
Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is dedicated to transforming pediatric mental health care through innovative solutions. The Senior Manager of Technology will lead the technical strategy of the PROSPER Center, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop AI-powered tools and data pipelines to enhance research and care delivery.

Responsibilities
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the technology team within the PROSPER center
Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of AI researchers, data scientists, and IT professionals
Define and oversee the technical architecture for PROSPER’s research and innovation infrastructure, including multimodal data integration, algorithm deployment, and secure computing environments
Align and follow best practices as defined by the Cloud Center of Excellence lead by CHOP’s CTO and the Director of Cloud Products
Build to the standards of the Enterprise application team to ensure software meets the standard and can be deployed in clinical settings (e.g., containerized and version controlled, security vulnerability assessment)
Guide the evaluation and adoption of advanced technologies including AI/ML pipelines, real-time data feeds (e.g., EHR, sensors), and federated analytics tools
Support the development and operationalization of PROSPER’s core tools, such as risk-resilience calculators for waitlist prioritization and prediction models for clinical decision-making
Establish standards for tool development Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CICD), code standards (eg PEP8 or
Establish best practices for algorithm evaluation, documentation, and user feedback in partnership with clinical and community stakeholders
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to PROSPER and affiliated staff and trainees, including data scientists, engineers, and research fellows
Engage in cross-functional collaboration with clinical investigators, ethicists, and implementation scientists to ensure clinical tools are practical, equitable, and sustainable
Serve as a key member of the PROSPER Center’s leadership team, contributing to strategic planning, infrastructure growth, and research prioritization
Liaise with institutional and external partners to position PROSPER as a leader in applied clinical data science and AI innovation in pediatric healthcare
Manage direct reports with hire/fire and performance evaluation responsibilities
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to PROSPER and affiliated staff and trainees, including data scientists, engineers, and research fellows
Qualification
Required
Master's Degree Computational Biology, Computer Science, Information Science, Informatics, Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline
At least eight (8) years Experience leading technical teams or projects focused on data science, AI/ML tools, or clinical decision support systems
At least five (5) years Experience supervising interdisciplinary teams across technical, clinical, and research domains
At least ten (10) years Designing and deploying secure, scalable, and interoperable data platforms or software in healthcare or research settings
At least seven (7) years Developing and validating machine learning models, clinical algorithms, or computational pipelines
Expertise in HIPAA, IRB, and ethical considerations for use of clinical data in research and innovation
Strong understanding of AI/ML principles, model evaluation, and clinical integration strategies
Demonstrated success translating technical concepts to diverse stakeholders including clinicians and leadership
Track record of leading cross-functional teams to build and scale research infrastructure or digital tools
Preferred
Knowledge of responsible AI practices and health equity in technology design and deployment
Experience aligning research computing systems with enterprise informatics or cloud infrastructure
